Charcoal

Drawing with charcoal feels liberating and grounding. It’s a fickle, unpredictable medium. I can’t be too precious with it which is why it’s gold. Sometimes the charcoal breaks as I draw, and I’m annoyed for a few seconds. Then I channel the annoyance back into the drawing. It’s great for emotional release.
